On June 1, 2019, to the Children’s Day at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as part of the museum-educational program of the “Shanyrak” project, a festive concert “We are the future of the Country” was held and the grand opening of the exhibition “Museum through children’s eyes” organized by the clubs “Painting and Graphics” and “Master” took place.
June 1 is celebrated as World Children’s Day. In 1949 in November the International Democratic Federation of Women at a special session dedicated to celebrate this day. For the first time, the International Children’s Day was celebrated in 1950.
The Head of the Museum Pedagogy and Excursion Services of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kumar Zhunusov: “The state pays great attention to the upbringing and development of children. Because children are the faith in honesty, justice and good. Therefore, this holiday is a day that reminds adults of their responsibility and care for children. The National Museum is actively involved in the education of generations. The purpose of today's event is to expand the interest of the younger generation. A good deed in this direction will be continued in the future. May this holiday bring joy to all of you.”
The UN promptly supported this initiative in a timely manner and made the protection of children's life, health and well-being one of the key areas of their activities. That day it was again demonstrated that it is necessary to create all the conditions for children to create a society full of humanity, justice and harmony in the future.
The club “Painting and Graphics” in the National Museum was opened in June 2015. Member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Baybossynov teaches in the club. The aim of the exhibition is to demonstrate the creative results of students of the clubs "Painting and Graphics", "Sheber" in the museum.
At the festive concert, pupils of school-lyceum № 50 "Qazǵarysh" named after Raimbek Batyr, school-lyceum №72, specialized lyceum №82 "Daryn", school - gymnasium №83 and school № 80 of the dance group "Úkіlіm", students of the music and art studio “AJ” demonstrated their skills.
