“The agreement between Republic of Kazakhstan and Republic of Uzbekistan was signed in 1998. Cultural and humanitarian ties are no less important in relations between our states. 2018 year has been declared as the year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan and as President N.Nazarbayev noted: “It reflects the truly fraternal character of relations between our two peoples. They are rooted far back in time and supported by the glorious common history and the rich spiritual heritage of our ancestors”
In the bilateral relations between the republics, the presence of the Kazakhs in Uzbekistan and the Uzbek diaspora in Kazakhstan plays an important role. The Uzbeks of Kazakhstan occupy a worthy place in the social and cultural life of our republic. Modern art of Uzbekistan is not presented in Kazakhstan for the first time. 2 years ago we held the exhibition with the great success.
2019 year is declared as the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan. This year we will visit Uzbekistan with the project “Procession of the Golden Man through museums of the world”.
Photography art appears to us as a multi-genre, versatile life reflecting, diverse in types and creative handwriting. The photo exhibition «Contemporary Uzbekistan» consists of 100 photographs created by photo-art masters A. Zhumayev, V. Goncharenko, H. Shorahmedov, V. Zhirnov, R. Sharipov, R. Shagaev, R. Islomov, V. Shlosberg, V. Vyatkin, V. Sokolov.
Timur Rakhimov, Сounsellor of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan: “This exhibition is being held in the framework of Year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan ”
Bilateral relations in the cultural and humanitarian sphere have risen to a new level. Over 200 events took place last year. They covered all areas of bilateral relations, and allowed people to learn more about each other. Uzbek culture did not leave Kazakhstanis indifferent. I am sure that this exhibition will serve as the next step in strengthening cooperation between our countries.”
A sophisticated viewer through this exhibition may notice the changes and traditions in the structure of national identity that have evolved over the years of independence of Uzbekistan.
